Yes, for all the people who loved their XP installation and are moving away from downloading and installing Windows Seven Operating System, here is the good news.
We have a very good theme which mimics the functionality and the features of Windows Seven OS.
All those beautiful taskbars without the text of the running application, full start orb, a Superbar to drool on and lots more.
This theme is called the famous “SevenVG Refresh”.
The theme contains 4 sub-styles namely:
1. Aero32 (for 32x icon size)
2. Aero48 (for 48x icon size)
3. Bottom32 (for 32x icon size)
4. Bottom48 (for 48x icon size)
Aero32 and Aero48 contain left common tasks in Explorer. On the other hand, Bottom32 and Bottom48 contain bottom common tasks. So feel free to use whichever do you want.
What is the delay yet? Download the theme for free from here. It’s just a 6 MB installation pack to transform your boring(but, loving) desktop and the functionality to an environment of the new OS that Microsoft is planning so big to release. But, please make sure to back up your registry and create a restoration point before you install any themes or softwares.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the file and extract its content. You’ll get a folder “SevenVG Refresh Theme for Windows XP by Vishal Gupta“.
2. In this folder, you’ll get 3 more folders:
Fonts (This folder contains Segoe UI fonts required for the theme. Run Fonts.exe file to install them.)
Styler Toolbar (This folder contains Styler setup and SevenVG styler toolbar skin. It’ll provide Windows 7 look-a-like toolbar and commandbar in Explorer.)
Theme (This folder contains the main theme. Run Theme.exe file to install it.)
3. Apply the theme using Desktop Properties and you have done.
4. Also make sure you have patched the “uxtheme.dll” file to allow 3rd party visual styles, if its not patched, then download and run the UXtheme Patcher from here:
For XP SP2 Users: Download The UXTheme Patcher here.
For XP SP3 Users: Download The UXTender here.
Run the EXE file and click on “Patch” button. It’ll take a few seconds and then you can restart your system to take effect.
Ok, Now thats for the theme. But, the theme does not give you the iconized taskbars like Windows Seven gives.
So, before the tweak, your taskbar looks like this:
After the tweak, this is how your taskbar would look like:
Ok, So how to apply this tweak???Tell me fast, and let it be simple.
Yes, this is very simple. But, We urge you again to backup your registry. Here are the steps:
1. Type regedit in RUN dialog box and press Enter. It’ll open Registry Editor. Now go to following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
2. In right-side pane, create a new String value MinWidth and set its value to -255.
3. That’s it. Log off or restart your system and get ready to have iconized taskbar in your system.
4. To restore default taskbar behavior, delete the MinWidthString value and log off or restart your system.
PS: If you want a ready-made registry script which can do the task automatically, then download following ZIP file, extract it and then run the Install.reg file. It’ll ask for confirmation, accept it: Download the prepared registry entry here(For XP Users).
We hope you love your new desktop and would like to explore your new look.
If you come across any problems, do share with Team Nirvana. We would like to solve them for you.

nice theme dude
I don't like the 7 theme. Classic XP themes are better. I found some great themes on this page
