Recently, I have written about BatteryBar which displays the amount of remaining battery to sustain your laptop in the most accurate manner. While BatteryBar displays even the historical info about your battery life cycle, another tool named BatteryCare provides more info in addition to the battery longevity.
BatteryCare is capable of choosing the alternate power source depending upon the configuration. So, when your laptop battery is getting out of charge, there is no need of removing the previous source of power and attaching another source, BatteryCare does that for you. In addition to this, the advanced algorithm records when a complete discharge cycle is performed and reminds you to perform the same when the charge gets to that point the next time. So, that means, you need not worry about when you need to shut the work and provide a power source to recharge the battery. Sounds cool for the lazy bugs like Me.
Another feature which caught my eye was the disabling of advanced graphic features like Windows Aero display visuals in Vista when the laptop is running on batteries. Sounds better than manually disabling them. And when the laptop gets into contact with another power source, other than batteries, BatteryCare automatically launches all the visually appealing services that it had blocked the last time.
BatteryCare is absolutely Free to download and use. It is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista and requires Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0
