Is it Hard to Make Blogging a Habit and Make Money Online?

Blogging is laborious and tedious. It’s a monotonous job which has minimal applause and none to watch your back. There are no specific motives and no particular targets to be reached at the end of the day. But, what makes Blogger go on? What makes Bloggers(like Me) keep going at the task with so much vigor and the trait which sounds exclamating and energetic? Is it the cheque that arrives from Google? Is it the Paypal being filled with amount month after month? Those are the perks of converting your creativity into blogging, my friend. Not the final fruits.

I would like to say that it’s a habit of blogging that I am addicted to. I like to post regularly. I like to post at least once a day. That does not simply signify that I blog at random and on random topics. My specific genre is tied up with Technology, Blogging and Reviews. If you go through the blog which has 200+ posts now, you will come across all the posts which are tied up with one genre or the other, except requesting Indian Voters to Get Their Voter Cards. Other interesting posts are very much related to Windows XP Tips and Windows Seven, Apple iPhone and a bunch of my favorite technical gadgets.  But, how did I make Blogging a habit, but not a necessity to quench my thirst of blogging and making my presence to be felt online?

Habit is nothing but a mixture of daily activity which turns out to be indulging, bringing you the ultimate satisfaction. Take into consideration the common habits like brushing teeth, bathing, exercising, drinking milk or any beverage to charge you for the day. How did you cultivate these habits? These habits arise from the way we have been brought up and these add up to your well being.

But, how does Blogging add up to your well being to make into a habit?

At one point or there other in a day or two you tend to let out yourself in one manner or the other. This letting you out might be in the extra round you do while you are jogging, the extra set that you do while you are exercising. All these and more tend to let yourself out in their own respective manner. There lies underlying skill that you have built up from the last times you have done the similar task, which drives you to do all those ‘extra’ or ‘surplus’ things in common.

The Skill of blogging too comes from the excessive knowledge that you built up while reading some book or newspaper or while you were idling around surfing the internet. You, at times, loose track and do more probing into something irrelevant to your daily chores. Bring the same enthusiasm and energy out while you are sitting down and opening the editor to blog. Vent out the creative energy and let it flow onto your fingers from your mind.

You make it sound easy. Is it so?

It’s not that easy. I agree with you. It’s not at all easy to churn out articles like a machine or like a random article generator. But, I would like to say that, it’s not that hard too. I have a few points which I feel would make you get an easy grip on.

  • Regular practise like writing an article on which interests you more in the first phases are more important to let the blocks build upon themselves in you.
  • Don’t hurt your tiny brain to bring out the article in an earth shattering poise. Go easy and Use your own style. It’s your own blog on which you are going to write, aren’t you?
  • Don’t force yourself to research more and more and end up writing less. The main aim of this exercise is to make your fingers run as the matter ‘flows’ from your brain. Not pushing it out.
  • Use a Pocket notebook or an Organiser or even draft messages in your mobile phone(I use this method) to save your ideas while you are on the move and do not find pen and paper.
  • Ask anyone you meet or lay your eyes on while you are finding it hard to bring out the unique style about what they think on the article you are writing. Don’t let them read your article, just ask them ‘I am thinking about writing this, tell me your view on it’. It brings out their view, which feeds your brain to look in a different perspective. But, do not let their perspective overtake yours, as it’s your blog where the readers are going to read the article. They know your style of writing.
  • Use Google Wonder Wheel if you are assuming that you do not have anything creative to write about. Use it with absolute panache in order to make your post which you thought would be dull into a Pillar Post dragging in hordes and hordes of visitors in the long run.
  • Go around your old magazines once. An idea may spark when you come across an article which you wish to share to your audience on your blog.
  • Go through your comments section to grab an idea from the active commentors.

I agree that with time, you can master all these points and hit the bulls eye. It’s the regularity of blogging that makes you prone to make it into an exercise, which converts into a habit.
