Google Adsense is surely an amazing application for webmasters and bloggers alike. The more number of visitors you get(CPM) and the more clicks you get on the ads(CPC) the more cash you take home. The ads that get displayed on the web page might be a contextual ad with short notes and a link or an image which is related to the content of the webpage. That is, the ads are at times related to the text the webpage has.

Let’s have a look at a Google ad which has an image.

And lets have a look at an ad which displaces Contextual information for ads. This is more relevant than what I have shown above to my post with just images of Apple iPhone Nano, the smallest iPhone ever built.

So, how can a webmaster earn more revenue from these ads? The ads cost money to the Advertisers. These ads are chosen by them to be displayed for a set of keywords which relate to their businesses. So, if your webpage has keyword rich text which gel well with the post you are writing about, then when the Google crawls and indexes your webpage, Google decides what kind of ads that are to be displayed here. Do not stuff keywords to get ads which pay more, Google can trace this out and your Adsense account might get banned.

Being webmasters ourselves, we need to decide what are the keywords that we are going to use in order to attract more revenue generating ads. But, how to do this? There is a simple approach. And Google itself provides you a tool to check on highest paying keywords And you need to follow a simple trick to learn how to earn more from that keyword tool.

Before even drafting a post, you might have performed a research on what you are going to write, right? Now, follow these simple points to get to know those ‘high-paying’ keywords. This takes an hour of your time, so act fast.

No no, I am kidding. It takes just a couple of minutes. So, here we go.

  • Go to Google Adwords keyword Tool and provide your primary keyword and some words which you have used in the post.
  • The catch here is earning more per keyword pay per click. So, when you get the results, you need to select ‘Show Estimated Average CPC’. Now, the columns get re-arranged with ‘Estimated Avg. CPC’ as the first column.
  • Now, just arrange the column in ‘descending’ order by clicking on the ‘Estimated Avg. CPC’.

There you are with the highest paying keywords on the top. Choose wisely, dont stuff them all into your content and get more traffic to your website or blog.
