GMail Recalls Mail Back Just like Outlook’s Undo Send

How many times haven’t we thought after composing a mail and hitting the ‘Send’ button to stop it in it’s tracks? Then, we think ‘These guys have developed so many things, but why can’t they just recall the messages that are already sent?’. Well, there are benefits to the mail service providers by doing so. The reason is, they do not have the need to call back using an acknowledgment message which would be a burden on their systems if many of us would start using the option on a day-to-day basis.

So, now coming to matter, if you are a close observer of the things, you would have noticed that after hitting the ‘Send’ button in GMail, it actually takes a brief time period of 3-5 seconds to confirm you that ‘The message has been sent’. Now, you can make use of that time lapse to recall your message and stop sending that mail to the Recipient.

All you need to get the feature is, Go to Settings and Enable this feature in Labs. There you are, Undo power at your fingertips for 5 seconds. Make use of it.
