First of all these, Congratulations to Mr.Ashok Raghunath as he got the keys of the First Nano Car from the Chairman of Tata Motors, Ratan Tata. The times ahead provide a very viable option to drive and blend into the traffic. But, one thing that drags back everyone is the steep rise in the cost of Petrol.

Mr.Ashok had purchased a Tata Nano LX(lunar silver) which is the top end model. With the first Nano car being delivered, the process of delivering the first one lakh cars has officially started and goes on until March next year.
In the first innings of booking the Nano Car, Tata Motors has got a total of 2.06 lakh applications from which the lucky one lakh had been selected using a lucky draw. So, 17th July, 2009 marks a remarkable date from which the distribution of this first lakh cars had started and this month also marks the nationwide distribution of nano cars.

I personally think that this car would do more harm than good in the times to come. Imagine the traffic congestion we see now and a 3 times manifestation of the same in two years, by the time the production plant in Gujarat chugs out more cars. Travelling would become hell with that kind of traffic. Share your opinions on whether Tata Nano car is a boon or a bane to the Indian Traffic System.

Nano Car? Sounds hi-tech… But I'm just kinda impressed by its design. The red Tata Nano Car in the picture, could be. It's handsome.
