Browse The Internet in Office Without Getting Spied

How many of Us are being bogged down by the Administrators when you wish to surf the internet in the office on the office network? The answer is, most of the organizations have strict online browsing regulations that make users to restrict themselves to search or be on a lookout for something on the internet. By the way, the employers do have the right to keep a check on whether their employees are working on improving their productive capabilities or just doing cacophony in the office timings. So, even though there are some alternate methods to avoid being supervised when browsing the web in the office, not every method is fail safe. It does not matter whether you are using the proxies to avoid the “This site is blocked” message, because, the key logger software does monitor your keystrokes and the admin, if he wishes to, can retrieve the details in a jiffy. But, we do have some solutions which you can use in order to avoid all these.

One of the methods is using an encrypted internet browser which runs from a USB Flash Drive directly. You can attain this by using a copy of IronKey, which is actually a sold as a secure USB drive loaded with a version of Firefox. The job performed is simple to be clarified. It routes your traffic through its own servers. So, all you would be doing is using the network but routing the information through their own servers. A 1 GB version costs $79 and you are provided with a one year service. Its quite easy to use and provides some security too.

Using a secure browser like xB Browser – another version of FireFox which conceals the IP addresses by routing the traffic through numerous other servers and add to that, wiping the cookies off and deleting the browsing history.

Beware, as all these techniques might provide you an assured method to surf the internet, but, as long as you are accessing the network of an organization, you are liable to their regulations. Using a mobile with an internet connection would be more advisable, if you are a gadget freak. But again accessing the internet on your office wi-fi, is a strict no-no. It is not advised. So use the resources wisely. Always remember that the workplace is meant only for “work”.

  1. Sounds good!!!

But, y to pay a price when we can just use proxies?

It would have been quite a good thing if you had provided some free softwares to do so.

    Anyway, thanks for sharing this.
