We are aware of the Apple Apps download on the verge of hitting the 1 Billionth mark as few days back. Now, the one billionth download was done by a 13 year old kid, Connor Mulcahey from Weston, CT. He had won the contest announced by Apple.

The one billionth download was an application by Bump Technologies, named Bump, which enables the Bump installed two iPhones, if touched, would swap the contact details.
