How many times haven’t we thought about doing something to protect the nature and preserve it’s austerity? Have we taken any steps towards it? How many of us have planted a tree a year? Atleast, a tree in your life after you learnt the effects of Greenhouse Gases and the depletion of Ozone Layer? Here is our chance to do something.
A new search engine around the block, Ecocho, has built on a mission that for every 1000 searches that the users perform, they will plant 2 tress. Surely eco-friendly? Ecocho aims at placing the greenhouse gases at bay by planting as many trees as possible. But, in turn they require the searches to be made in order to reduce the CO2 and other harmful gases in our atmosphere.
Ecocho is verified by the Global Cardon Exchange(GCX), and KPMG, which are some of the world’s most leading audit , tax and advisory services, which conduct a quarterly and final year-end audit to check that the total amount of credits issued each month for the 12 months up to June is equal to the amount
retired.
Check how Ecocho Works:
Ecocho is being powered by Yahoo and the results you see are routed directly from Yahoo to Ecocho. While the motive behind this is for a fair cause, Google has pulled off Ecocho’s fair share claiming that it’s violating the Adsense Rules. So, if your favorite search engines are bookmarked, you can delete them for a few days and use Ecocho as You would be on the path to change the nature once and for all.

That sounds great.
And Google might have thought that Ecocho could get the clicks so it removed it from Adsense???Thats so cynical. Y would Google do that anyway? People who assume that they care for the world in one way or the other would use this search engine, but most of them would get stuck to the conventional big players like google and yahoo.
So, I think its absurd that Google would not support such a kind of programmes. Kudos to Yahoo for supporting this noble cause.
Very innoative blog with lots going on to keep interest. Well done.
